Expert take — Cost of Asia editorial team If you live in District 2 / Thao Dien, Metro Line 1 has changed the coworking question: Dreamplex says the ride from Thao Dien station to Ben Thanh takes about ten minutes. That makes a District 1 desk near a station a real option without a daily scooter ride. Before you pick, check two things on the map: how far the space is from a Line 1 station, and how far your home is from one.
Saigon's coworking spaces cluster in two places: District 1 in the center, and District 2 / Thao Dien across the river, where many expats live. Prices span a wide range, from cheap day desks in District 3 to corporate centers charging several times more.
The main trade-off is atmosphere versus access. Thao Dien spaces often come with gardens or pools and short commutes for residents. District 1 spaces put you near clients, but most keep weekday business hours only.
Note: Vietnam reorganized its administrative units in 2025, and many official district and ward names changed (Thao Dien is now part of An Khanh ward, for example). We use the names people still search.

How we chose
- Location in or near the areas where expats live and work.
- Metro Line 1 access.
- Hours and 24/7 access.
- Backup internet, where the operator advertises it.
- Published prices, in VND.
Our main source is VietnamSpot's survey, with prices checked against operator sites on 10 September 2026, plus Dreamplex's District 2 guide (August 2026). We could not run on-site speed tests. Checked on 1 November 2026.
1. The Hive Thao Dien — best for Thao Dien residents
The Hive Thao Dien is at 94 Xuan Thuy, with a pool, terrace and scooter parking. VietnamSpot lists hot desks from VND 1,500,000 a month and dedicated desks from VND 3,000,000. The Hive advertises a backup line. Reviews describe the space as compact. The Hive also runs a garden villa on Nguyen Ba Lan and a District 1 site on Huynh Khuong Ninh, where hot desks are VND 2,800,000 a month.
2. Dreamplex — best for metro commuters
Dreamplex's Nguyen Trung Ngan site in District 1 is about a five-minute walk from Ba Son station. Its Ngo Quang Huy site in Thao Dien is within walking distance of Thao Dien station. VietnamSpot lists District 1 monthly plans from VND 4,350,000–4,500,000, and Dreamplex advertises a backup line. The catch is hours: the District 1 sites open Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00, and close at weekends.
3. Toong — best for flexibility across the city
Toong runs several branches, including 11B Nguyen Binh Khiem in District 1 and 186–188 Vo Thi Sau in District 3. Members can book a desk at any branch through the app. VietnamSpot found day passes from about VND 165,000, with hours around 8:00–20:00. The day rate comes from listings rather than Toong's own site, so confirm it.

4. South Ground — best for the lowest day rate
South Ground has two District 3 sites, at 62 Pham Ngoc Thach and 230/17 Pasteur. Day passes start at VND 110,000, the lowest in VietnamSpot's survey, and both open 7:00–22:00. There is no 24/7 access and no metro station nearby.
5. Saigon Coworking Thao Dien — best for 24/7 work
Saigon Coworking, at 204c Nguyen Van Huong, says it is open 24/7 to members. VietnamSpot lists monthly plans from VND 1,800,000 and dedicated desks from VND 2,600,000. The day rate (about VND 150,000) comes from a listing, so ask first.
What to check before you decide
- Test the speed on international servers at peak hour. In August 2026, Tuoi Tre reported that undersea cable faults had cut about 30% of Vietnam's international capacity.
- Get the hours in writing, including weekends and public holidays.
- Check 24/7 access: many plans limit it to private-office tenants or members.
- Walk the route from the nearest Line 1 station in the midday heat.
- Ask for the price at your address: chains quote different rates by branch.
