Expert take — Cost of Asia editorial team Bangkok has far fewer dedicated colivings than its size suggests: when we checked on 4 November 2026, Coliving.com listed no Bangkok spaces against five in Chiang Mai, and Freaking Nomads' Thailand coliving directory listed none in Bangkok either. Most remote workers here rent a furnished studio by the month and add a coworking pass. Use a coliving for your first few weeks while you scout neighborhoods, and don't expect the community-house scene of Chiang Mai or Bali.
This page is for remote workers arriving in Bangkok who want a furnished room, a desk and some company without signing a lease on day one. We could verify only two operating spaces that combine private rooms with a shared workspace, so we compare them with the two condo-and-coworking setups that most long-stayers end up using.
The trade-off is simple. Coliving costs more per square meter but takes care of furniture, utilities and the desk from the first night. A monthly studio plus coworking is usually cheaper and more flexible on location, but you have to arrange it yourself.

How we chose
- Operating in 2026: each named space appears in at least one 2026 source.
- Private room plus a shared workspace.
- Published prices, dated, where we found them.
- Transit access to the BTS or MRT.
We could not run on-site speed tests. Checked on 4 November 2026.
1. lyf Sukhumvit 8 — best for a turnkey first month
lyf is Ascott's coliving brand. CapitaLand announced lyf Sukhumvit 8 in July 2020 with 196 studios, a short walk from BTS Nana. Its listed facilities include a coworking and lounge zone, a social kitchen, a laundromat, an outdoor terrace and a rooftop fitness area.
Superagent's April 2026 guide says rooms start around 22,000 baht a month, with the ground-floor coworking space included in the rent. That's close to a one-bedroom condo in the area, so the value is in the convenience. Nana is busy and noisy at night; ask for a room away from the street if you take early calls.
2. LITA Bangkok — best for a budget base with a desk
LITA (Life in the Alley) is at 306/6 Kiatti Chai Alley, off Asok–Din Daeng Road. Its Hostelworld listing puts it less than five minutes' walk from the subway and about 15 minutes' walk from an Airport Rail Link station. It offers ensuite private studios and a dorm, a coworking space with a patio, a pantry and laundry. City Nomads names MRT Phra Ram 9 as the nearest station.
Read the fine print. The listing says payment is cash on arrival, with no credit cards, and the building has no elevator. Reviews are mixed, with a score of 7.4 from 30 reviews, and the latest, from January 2026, describes a poor check-in and a difficult refund. City Nomads published monthly rates in 2018, which are too old to rely on, so ask for a current written quote.

3. Ekkamai studio plus The Hive Thonglor — best for community on Sukhumvit
If you want the social side of coliving without the house, rent a studio near BTS Ekkamai or Thong Lo and join a coworking space. ROOF21 puts Ekkamai studios at 12,000–18,000 baht a month (June 2026). Asia Lifestyle Magazine's 2026 guide puts a monthly hot desk at The Hive Thonglor at about 4,500 baht.
For comparison, Superagent estimates furnished coliving rooms near Ekkamai at 18,000–30,000 baht a month all-in, without naming the buildings. The DIY route can cost less, but you'll pay utilities separately and may need a longer lease.
4. On Nut studio plus True Digital Park — best for the lowest monthly cost
Further east on the BTS Sukhumvit Line, ROOF21 lists On Nut studios at 10,000–15,000 baht a month. True Digital Park, at BTS Punnawithi a few stops further out, offers coworking memberships that Asia Lifestyle Magazine reported as often under 4,000 baht a month. Our Bangkok coworking guide covers its hours.
This setup suits stays of three months or more, at the cost of a built-in social life.
What to check before you decide
- Minimum stay and deposit: Superagent says most Bangkok coliving operators ask for one to three months, with a deposit of about one month's rent.
- What's included: electricity, water, cleaning and the desk. Get it in writing.
- Payment method: some smaller operators take cash only.
- Speed test: in your room and at the desk, at the time of day you'll work.
- Visa runway: since 15 September 2026, Thailand's visa exemption is 30 days and covers tourism only (TTG Asia). See our Thailand digital nomad visa guide.
