Expert take — Cost of Asia editorial team The only IB-track school in our Da Nang sources, Odyssey International School, was still an IB candidate teaching up to Grade 7 in January 2026, and it plans to add the Diploma Programme only from 2027. VietnamSpot also warns that few Da Nang schools run all the way to a senior diploma. Before you enroll, ask each school in writing which grades and exam courses it will run in the year your child reaches them, not just this year.
Da Nang has a small international school market: the International Schools Database lists seven schools under Da Nang, five of which publish fees. You can choose between Cambridge, Singapore, American and IB-track curricula, but the options thin out in the senior years.
This page is for families moving to Da Nang with children aged 2 to 18. The main trade-off is fees against pathway. The cheapest school starts at about a quarter of the most expensive one's top fee, but the senior-year exam route (A Levels, AP or, later, the IB Diploma) matters more than price if your child is over 12.

How we chose
- Curriculum and exam pathway, including how far each school runs.
- Published 2026/27 fees, from the International Schools Database, cross-checked with VietnamSpot's September 2026 roundup.
- Accreditation and authorization, where stated. We found no CIS, COBIS or full IB authorization confirmed for any Da Nang school in the sources we checked.
- Location relative to where families rent.
Checked on 4 November 2026. Fees are annual tuition in Vietnamese dong; dollar figures use VietnamSpot's rate of 26,000 dong to the dollar. Vietnam's 2025 administrative reform merged Hoi An into Da Nang city and renamed many wards, so official addresses may differ from the names families use.
1. Singapore International School @ Da Nang — best for a Cambridge route to A Levels
SIS is on Vung Trung 3 Street in the Phu My An urban area, Ngu Hanh Son. Its website lists a Cambridge and Singapore curriculum from pre-nursery to Year 12, with IGCSE, AS and A Level courses.
It is the most expensive option: the International Schools Database lists ₫264.7–663.6 million a year for 2026/27, about USD 10,180–25,500. In return, it offers a full senior-years exam pathway. Its website doesn't name its accreditations, so ask.
2. Odyssey International School — best for an IB-track primary and middle school
Odyssey sits on a campus of about 14,000 m² between Da Nang and Hoi An, about 10 km from the city center, according to Vietnam News. It has been an IB candidate school for the Primary and Middle Years Programmes since April 2025 and plans to launch the Diploma Programme in 2027. In January 2026, its CEO told VnExpress that classes ran up to Grade 7, with higher grades planned for 2026/27.
Published fees differ: VietnamSpot gives ₫233–450 million for 2026/27, and the International Schools Database ₫233–623 million. Ask for the current fee sheet and a written timeline for each grade your child will need.
3. APU American International School — best for a US-style diploma
Wikipedia lists APU's Da Nang campus alongside its Ho Chi Minh City one, and describes a California-based K–12 curriculum taught in English, AP courses and College Board testing (SAT, PSAT, ACT). Wikipedia shows WASC candidate status, not full accreditation, so ask the school for its current status.
Fees for 2026/27 run ₫249.5–597.4 million, about USD 9,600–23,000, per the International Schools Database.

It suits families who want to live in Hoi An rather than commute there; from central Da Nang, ask about school transport.
5. The St. Nicholas School — best for lower fees
St. Nicholas, in central Da Nang, combines an American curriculum with the Vietnamese program for ages 2 to 18. It has the lowest published starting fee in the city: ₫168.5–272 million for 2026/27 per the International Schools Database, about USD 6,480–10,460. Ask how much teaching is in English versus Vietnamese at your child's level.
What to check before you decide
